Close on the heels of his Maxbotix interface to the Launchpad, [T]iago created Vagabundo – a Tupperware based robot with two servos and the rangefinder. The two tiny servos are modified for continuous rotation. Two CDs double up as wheels with rubber strips hot glued for better grip. Talk about reuse!
Push buttons don’t give a clean on/off signal to a microcontroller. The value bounces around a little, which can cause a program to see a whole string of button presses instead of one.
This project is a great marble machine made by David HASLE and is using a PICAXE microcontroller, a servo, batteries, and some wire. The wire structure is oscillating up and down and the marble travels all the way round. Check the video on the link below. [via]
